Practitioners will:

  • Deliver services only within the boundaries of their education, training, certification, and relevant professional experience.

  • Pursue professional development in perpetuity to maintain and improve their skills and knowledge in aesthetic medicine.

  • Utilize evidence-based procedures and protocols.

Patient Safety

Practitioners will:

  • Place patient safety above all else in practice.

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients and provide options for referral for specialist care when indicated.

  • Maintain appropriate professional indemnity and medical liability insurance

Ethical Responsibilities to Patients

Practitioners will:

  • Use clear and understandable language and use informed decision making when conveying the purpose, risks, benefits, and alternative of all procedures.

  • Ensure that patients comprehend the information given, using interpreters if needed.

  • Obtain informed consent before any treatment.

Professional Integrity

Practitioners will:

  • Convey accurate information about their qualifications, experience, and the services they o er. 

  • Avoid misleading claims in selling or marketing of services offered.

  • Adhere to the principle of candor and maintain transparency and honesty when a desired outcome is not met.

Ethical Business Practice

Practitioners will:

  • Avoid conflict of interest that may compromise patient care or judgement.

  • Keep accurate and comprehensive medical records for all patients.

  • Ensure all patient records are kept private and stored for the recommended 7 year period after their last treatment. â€‹â€‹
